Can-Can :: editor/co-producer :: HD, 2007

Wellfleet, MA and Cape Cod provided Can-Can with a charming and rich setting for the film, especially during the fall season. The task of color correction therefore lied more in the subtlies, as opposed to any drastic changes. Some matching and boosting of contrast was invloved, but the crew also decided there were a couple of colors that needed special attention. Firstly, the specific pink of the painted room needed to look just right, and one might also notice that the cafe napkin is corrected to match the same hue. Also, the green on the trees reflected a typical daytime coolness, but in post it was shifted warmer to capture a warmer, more nostalgic look to reflect a feeling that's later in the day, later in the year, and maybe even later in life.
