Pisces :: color correction / editor / co-producer :: 2005

Pisces, like many films, conveys much of it's mood through color. In post-production, however, it was decided to hold back a bit on the over-stylized color scheme. A common fix for the blue scenes was to bring back the natura color of flesh tones to give the characters a gentler presence, but leave enough blue so the cool, introspective feeling remained. In other shots the reds and yellows were accentuated in order to create a contrast that prevents the characters and structures from fading into the background, drawing the eye towards what is really important in the scene. And as always, brightness and color consistency between shots was another factor of color correction.
